Capturing & Preserving Moments of Our Family's Lives

How times have changed!  Listed this camera for sale in my etsy shop today.  My father is trimming down his belongings and sent this to me.  I am sure there is someone that collects old cameras and this one will make a great addition to their collection.  I don't know much about it, it was made in Japan in the 1960's, and my father has owned it since it was new.  He used the camera in the 1970's to catch glimpses in time of our family and then it was put away and not taken out until recently.  How far have we come that we once used video cameras & projectors for home movies and now we can use our phones and send preserved moments of our family and freinds all over the world with the click of a button.  Check it out at https://www.etsy.com/listing/170298069/canon-cine-zoom-512.

I Love Costume Jewelry

I have spent the day polishing what feels like hundreds of pieces of costume jewelry.  It all looks so pretty now.  I love costume jewelry, I like to pick through my jewelry box every morning and decide what looks best with my outfit.  It feels good to dress up for the day whether I'm going to work, running errands, meeting a friend for coffee, date night, or even a fancy function.  I've packaged up quite a few pieces and listed them on my etsy shop.... ww.etsy.com/shop/shopbluelime. If you see something you like but don't want everything in the listing let me know & I'll make a new listing just for you.  Also, let me know if you'd like to see a photo that's more close up of a particular item. Enjoy!

Winnie the Pooh Toaster

My daughter & I recently came across this cute Disney Winnie The Pooh Pop Up Toaster. She insisted we buy it for our online store because someone will LOVE it!  It is in excellent pre-owned working condition with very little signs of use.  It plays the Winnie the Pooh theme song when the toast pops up and imprints an image of Pooh orTigger on the toast. It also has a cute little honey bee as the lift control. It has extra wide slots, 5 browning settings, cancel button and removable crumb tray.  $60 plus $5 shipping charge.

Don't miss out on this rare and collectible Disney item.

I Love Vintage Fabrics

When I find a beautiful vintage fabric I will buy however much is available and decide later what to make with it. Gift bags are my favourite project to sew and give away. Wrapping gifts in paper or paper bags that will be thrown out isn't very economical when you can sew a pretty bag for the same cost (and it will be just as loved as the gift inside!) . No matter what size, the bag can always be used for something else... makeup, lunches, gym, shopping, sleepovers... Today I bought this pretty 1960's blue rose velvety pin wale cord, not sure what I'll do with it yet, maybe a few pillow covers? At the very least, I'll be sure to make a couple gift bags.

Hello!

I’m a mother, daughter, sister, friend, and an accountant. I live in Vancouver with my two children. After working 20 years for private organizations and climbing the corporate ladder I decided to strike out on my own in 2009 and have been surviving on my wits as a bookkeeper for small businesses. I live on about a third of the income I once earned but I am 100 times happier, I’ve learned to live a simpler life, enjoy time with my children, and appreciate the time I now have for family and friends. I enjoy reading, building pillow forts, sewing, making crafts with my daughter and her friends, scouring beaches for the perfect shell or rock, fishing, building snowmen, and love spending Saturday afternoon’s poking around in thrift shops. My love of collecting stuff has brought on this new adventure of selling vintage, vintage-inspired, unique, pretty, useful, and totally useless finds. Enjoy!
